Happy pre-World Cup spring. It's been a while. Check out my colored pencil drawing as part of a celebration of soccer in the Pacific Northwest. It's also a nod to the time spent on the sidelines cheering on my kids as they established their place outside the classroom in a challenging team setting. They learned life lessons. As for their parents, we tried. I was approached by a friend who alongside his wife, witnessed some spectacular matches, tournaments, memorable plays and sideline antics. My drawing is part of a months-long collaboration with Mike Mondello (and staff) of Made in Washington. This blog link is a fantastic synopsis that explains the history of Seattle's contribution to "The Beautiful Game". These days as a soccer nana, I am honored to be part of this celebration. Click on the photo below and you'll find my art work on printed merchandise!
On April 25, King 5 Weekend Morning News had a spread of Mother's Day gift ideas and my merchandise was highlighted alongside other local makers.

Last, here is a line drawing I saved for an intense coloring page. The net needs to be drawn in but i'll let it stand.

Click the printable .pdf below of the final drawing for the kiddos soccer moms and dads to color 🖍
