Ireland: Touring Cobh, pronounced “cove”

Christina Grachek

Oh my goodness, we are in Cobh and it is quintessential Ireland. Planning and packing for the trip coincided with much day dreaming about Ireland. The small town of Cobh is the place that matches those thoughts. Although, Killarney is phase two of the “Dreams of Ireland” match game.

We loved Cobh, pronounced “cove”, and our stay at the impressive Victorian Rosenburg Heritage House. Initially, we looked to Cork, Ireland for our stay but decided this quiet slightly out of the way AirBnb would better suit our Irish getaway. Our host Catherine, was a delight and insisted she drive us to our dinner place on the first night. Fresh scones and a freshly baked loaf of bread awaited our arrival! The town of Cobh is filled with history and beauty. We are so glad to have made Cobh an unforgettable stop on our trip.
